You know how the old saying goes.. “if I had a nickel for every time I heard…..”
When we meet with someone thinking about joining, we always ask about their nutrition (because this is the foundation of health and fitness 🙂 ). Pretty much every time, we hear “oh, I know what to eat, I just don’t do it.” This is very common, and they might not be wrong.
Most people know that highly processed foods aren’t that great and that we should be eating more fruits, veggies, and lean meats.
Then why do we struggle so much with our food choices?
Well, there can be many reasons which we won’t go into all of them today, but a few of them are lack of accountability, they get discouraged when they fall off, and they don’t have a plan that fits their lifestyle.
I pay a lot of money for a business Mentor. I pretty much “know what I am supposed to do”, but I often get stuck on something and I need an outsiders view. So, I reach out to him and he gives me step by step directions on what to do. I also know that I have a call with him every month, so it keeps me accountable to get all my task and projects done. I would eventually get all these things done on my own, but my mentor helps me speed up the process.
Me hiring a mentor is similar to you hiring a trainer/nutrition coach. You will learn a lot from a coach and you will also get the step by step directions, the accountability, and support needed to reach your goals.
You might be able to get there eventually on your own, or, you can hire a nutrition coach and speed up the process.
